
Sheila is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist in the province of Manitoba who provides a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space for individuals, couples, children, and families. She holds a master’s degree in Psychological Counselling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy and has over four years of experience supporting clients across school settings, private practice, and community care.
Sheila tailors each session to her clients’ unique needs, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities. Her primary approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and she also incorporates Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, PARTs work, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems principles, and the Gottman Method for couples. She will be adding EMDR therapy in late 2024.
She has experience supporting clients with ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism, trauma, ODD, intellectual disabilities, grief, eating disorders, personality disorders, and relationship concerns. Sheila has completed specialized training in ADHD care, complex trauma, and mindfulness, and enjoys working with clients of all ages—from young children to adults and seniors.
